The Lost Flower

The first scent swims up the air,
Filling my nostrils with memories
The flower is flowing down the river again!
Now towards the the den of pain

And the rich beget the rich
Undiluted love now a mirage
Carcasses of aged love
But alas! I say let the flower

Go to where young love is
Let the river take it abroad
If that be her destiny
Let the root speak for it
When it is gone

Let the stem talk of how
Sweet her scents were
Until the sweet hands
Of war came
And she was swept away along the debris
In a river of blood
