the lost and found department

a cellphone behind the counter four unread texts a set of keys someone wanders aisles a grocery list now left to memory in the haste of life questions unanswered a teddy bear observes all the items one eye torn for its socket a mother’s chore to mend a man waits in front for his wife he says they’re running late people cry out to reclaim their lives customers walk in and out the door a man sitting alone on the sidewalk loses track of time a sparrow seeks the sky

My favorites were the first half and that last one on the sparrow. Good work.

This is daily life for sure. I'm glad it returns to the bosom of nature with the lone seeking sparrow. I enjoy this couplet.
