The Loss of What I Never Had

The loss of what I never had
Leaves life with little meaning
I’ll never hold my new born child
Or have that parent bonding

The loss of what I never had
Leaves life with little meaning
I’ll never hear my child say
I love you daddy

The loss of what I never had
Leaves life with little meaning
I’ll never see my child run
With smile upon their face

The loss of what I never had
Leaves life with little meaning
I’ll never take that precious walk
To give my child away

The loss of what I never had
Leaves life with little meaning
I only ever wanted to hear the words
My Daddy
