The Lord's Day

I rise, sometimes there is sunshine,
I rise, sometimes there is rain.

I rise, sometimes there is happiness,
I rise, sometimes there is sadness.

I rise, sometimes there is acceptance,
I rise sometimes there is rejection.

I rise, sometimes there is a friend,
I rise, sometimes there is loneliness.

I rise sometimes there is religion,
I rise sometimes there is simply learning.

I rise sometimes there are miracles,
I rise sometimes there is just everyday living.

I rise sometimes there is kindness,
I rise sometimes there is unkindness.

I rise sometimes there is God,
I rise sometimes there is silence.
