The Lord Takes My Hand -Psalm 23: 1-3

This is a picture to draw my heart
making me feel secure so very much
bringing peace and calm to my soul
so blessed receiving the heavenly touch

The Lord indeed is my shepherd
taking care of every little thing
being confident I shall not want
for the Lord's promise, I will so cling

The Lord shows lovely green pastures
where He leads for such a lie-down
then there's something really lovely
experiencing such still waters around

My soul is needing restoration
I cry to God with all my heart
He answers to me I will restore
I will see this in no small part

A path that leads to righteousness
the Lord takes me down every little step
showing all His holiness so very pure
all for His glory and honour! Oh yep!

(The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
   for his name's sake.)

I know this psalm so well Gordon, it s beautiful and full of promise. My dad died at the age of 66 from bronchial cancer - our family was devastated especially my 8 year old son, with whom he had a very special bond. Ricky read this psalm at my fathers funeral and brought tears to everyone's eyes. Wonderful poem Gordon, Poetry hugs, Jennifer.
