The Lord Is My Shepherd

The lord is my shepherd but I am not one of religions sheep Show me a religion that adheres to Gods divine laws Then may I will be the first in line to sound my applause Effect and cause I believe is what is written on heavens gate Gods everlasting walls What you believe in whatever you choose as your faith Wont opens heavens gate Your actions should if the God you represent is good

Interesting write. Funny thing about religion is that each sect of each faith believes that they are the one true religion. All we can be is the best we can.

Love reading your poem this Sat. a.m., Chris. Introspective write from your heart. I'm sure our Lord never meant that we should have organized religion. He is our Shepherd. We can all shout and proclaim that we belong to a specific religion, but until we live in the spirit of Christ, and according to his word, to me it is all meaningless. Sure we fail, but what matters is we rise and stand firm in our belief, that He is our Shepherd. Have a nice weekend! Annalise
