The Lord Is In His Holy Temple - Psalm 11: 1-7

Where can I rake refuge to be safe?
in the Lord God, Himself is the safe place
all other counsel is of no account
one must go to God's holy face

Beware of the wicked and their scheme
so be like that bird up in that mountain
for the enemy fits their arrow at you
to shoot in darkness to remove your fountain

What happens when the foundations fall
the righteous are perplexed about this
but the Lord is in His holy temple
He sees as testing men nothing to miss

The righteous feel the test of life
under the Lord's hand to prove their worth
the wicked face God's holy wrath
raining coals upon them from their earth

The Lord loves righteous deeds
being the God of righteousness divine
so those of an upright heart indeed
shall see God's face a sure heavenly sign

(In the Lord I take refuge;
how can you say to my soul,
    “Flee like a bird to your mountain,
for behold, the wicked bend the bow;
    they have fitted their arrow to the string
    to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;
if the foundations are destroyed,
    what can the righteous do?”
The Lord is in his holy temple;
    the Lord's throne is in heaven;
    his eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man.
The Lord tests the righteous,
    but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.
Let him rain coals on the wicked;
    fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
For the Lord is righteous;
he loves righteous deeds;
    the upright shall behold his face.)
