The Look

the abyss in your eyes
 reflect the precious jewels
 of glistening glow candle light
an casting eerie shadows on the wall
mirrored look of you so far away
to the touch you are so cool
 embers red floating as
the life runs out of you
 now fires out
 long drought
 your soul in doubt
mirrored look your life at bay
you lay there numb nothing to say
eyes void to all that is around
 your frozen in your thoughts
 what was the it ?
 the it ?
that you tried so hard to find
mirrored look you who will never play
escape comes across your blank mind
even the family that left you behind
no creature comforts you so craved
to lay in your bed and to greet
 the new dawns day
but for you the dusk always
 ends the day
