The Longest Day

May came and went, as did June,
Long had I waited and yet they departed too soon,
Summer solstice, my spiritual day.
It's meaningful and powerful, Nature in full,
Providing one day, a rest, a harmony, a momentary lull.
The Long Day stretched up far into the clouds,
The heavens even brighter with infinite Sun,
Then for ten magical minutes the sky and the land suspended as one.
The clock stops, seconds fail and I feel Life.
