The Long Way Out

Death equal in its inequality
Life gasping for life
individuality stands timid in corners sparse
And being never begins
That end unseen
That step never falls
That air never tasted
Forever unexpelled
Asleep for the wake
Depression unimpressed
Convicted to life
Out of death
borne to nothing
The long way out
Along the only path
