The Long Life
As we walk along life's long race
And we look at the days we faced disgrace
Finding out when to walk with haste
From those troubles we must escape
Life will often find us sad
Wishing for things we never had
Trusting the one's who drive us mad
Looking for something to make us glad
Searching but never finding gold
Listening but not hearing what we're told
We sometimes find necessity to be bold
Looking for something for both body and soul
The desire to be more than what we are
hasn't escaped anyone not even stars
We must find the solutions not found in bars
And time must be kept to bind up the scars
