The Lonely Night

The night wanders the darkness,
always looking for a sign.
The stars offer her no warmth,
staring at her nakedness.
Seeking the full moons' advice,
it spoke of the silent night.
How there was a ray of hope.
When sparrows call their bright lord,
rising in the eastern sky...
betrothed to the morning sun~
