The Lodestar of My Heart

Distant piano.........

            Sonatas in the fountain
     notes on notes upon me

               falling down
             in stardust

            burning sparks and embers
               blistering with anguish

the skin I wear without you

            shadow songs of sunsets
        roses into ashes
  distant fires remembered
     in your listless eyes.

                 Peel the husk
                       of time
                            to borrow
                        back
            one moment
                             of forgiveness
            calibrate my soul's
                      ecliptic
         meet me somewhere
      past tomorrow...............
                 be the lodestar
                                  of my heart.

                                                     again.
