the lizard of misery

The Lizard of Misery  He had traveled long distances  before going back to when child Stopped at what had been his parent's house someone else lived in their flat perhaps, a child sleeps in his bed and dream his dreams. He was overwhelmed by a sudden sense of loss but his childhood had been tough, a sleeping bag as a bed He had, as an adult, constructed his own  childhood one he came to believe and told other people over and over again  The lizard, on his back, was set free to glue itself in someone else's misery
