The Littlest Angel

Taking my gold black tipped pen Words flow on white parchment Like tears intermittent streams. My baby you are in heaven now. Son you're in God's arms, not mine. Looking down at my verse, Before I could comprehend, As if influenced by a spell My paper like wings on wind Gently lifted, flickering in air. I shield my eyes from the sun. A hum heard, as I turned to see My penned words on parchment Laying back on my writing table. Golden flecks dusted my verse. Psst, can you hear me? A tiny angel whispered. Hello Connie, I feel sad over your loss. But, somehow I found your poem very comforting. I hold a loss in my heart too.. sadly I hide the pain and never found the time to grieve the proper way. The imagery and the tiny voice in your poem, touched my soul. Your son has a beautiful and handsome name. JOEL ALLEN.... God bless... good luck in the contest.. always~ LINDA

Thank you for your wonderful comment. I grieved for 7 years, had to move on for my young son and husband. We still talk about him, wondering what he would be like and if my other son and Joel would have been best brother friends.. Just don't want to pass on and leave my only son with not a family. That's my worry

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment. This is a very personal write. When I started I had no idea where I would go with these words. My son if he would have lived would have been 42. I felt a flutter in my heart then knew how my poem would end. Warm Smiles Always, Connie
