The Little People

Our world has become overconsumed with status
and caste systems, with most folks wanting to be a
part of the Elite crowd,

As the "wanna-bes" have their fun,
wining and dining and enjoying the "spoils",
content with the lower rungs being contained
in the cellars,
Every day people continue to toil,
picking up their slack, trying hard to make the upper
hierachy look stellar,

The "little people" get forgotten by the wayside,
while the haughty maintain their pride,
with their smug jokes of pseudo- excellence and inequality,
they parade their vanity, without an iota of regard or care
for the "little people" who helped them to get there.......
