The Little Mouse Poet

A little mouse wrote ggod poetry!
Her eyes, so tired, she almost could not see.

Each day, mouse scribbled out her heart song.
For a year she did this, thirteen hours a day, so very long.

Her poetry, she hoped, people would like.
That was her mistake, the tired, ambitious, poet tyke.

She fell ill ~ and lost her will to write.
Yet  she felt great peace now and inner mouse might.

Mouseland, her country,was made fun of too.
She was proud of that land, under her teeny shoes.

So mouse gave up posting, where she was not wanted.
And found a new home~ where she was read!
Penned, love and  went ahead, fully accepted and 
joyfully undaunted!
