The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

The Liquor of Love

You are the liquor
That makes my heart beat quicker
It comes upon me fast, crazy in my chest
I try to control it, really I do my best
But, sometimes it gets the better of me
Making me see crazy things I do not want to see
It makes me think of love
And romantic notions from above
Crazy thoughts keep piling up in my head
Like a traffic jam, saying without you I'd be dead
Giving me fears that make my heart feel like lead
As I wonder if this is love in my heart that has been laid
And with sacrifices it is paved
But will this street I walk upon lead to sunny skies?
Or will the road lead to hell, heartache and painful goodbyes
