The Lion's Return From Gatsemane
THE LION'S RETURN FROM GATSEMANE
Heavens rained anger like winter
When love forged a lion to lamb
Even the knight knife failed, while knights fled.
Wept and wet with dews of doomy night.
The lamb is led and raid!
By trails of bearded wolfs
After the honey taste of a traitor’s kiss
With the sting of complex whips
The shepherd stumbled on fate!
While his saintly trembling limbs
Fumbled in an awkward romance on the crosslike parcel of the world’s flammy blame.
With the force of a million stallions! Thou race through hells.
And break the chains to create a name
As thousand saintly souls liberate.
Oh wounded lamb that broke the serpent’s horns.
We lift thy name above the cross
As the memories of thy love lingers through eternity!
