The Limerick Form

The limerick form IS risqué It’s bawdy and contains word play I won’t be put off By critics who scoff And shoot off about foul play I’m gobsmacked, I think it quite fickle That someone’s upset by a pickle Although some deem it ‘nawdy’ Limericks can be bawdy My humour won’t slow to a trickle I will not be deterred from trying to bring a little humour to people's life and bring a much needed smile. 01/12/21

If one finds Limericks are off colour, Do not run off crying to big brother. Look the other way, You don't have to play, 'Cause Limerick-ists bounce off one another.

Thanks Tania I will never be deterred from trying to make folk smile... if my poem is a little bawdy i put that in the title but to have it intimated I write 'porn' and post it on the site just beggars belief:-( hugs jan xx

I have seen poems that are truly pornographic so to have it suggested I write that sort of poem is something I would dispute on the highest level.:-) hugs jan xx

Thanks Alexis, they've been a member for a long time.. and are well aware of the limerick form, sadly its not the first time they have done blogs which are likely to cause issues. then another blog gets posted where they play victim yet is they are the victimiser :-( But i will continue writing poems to amuse people especially at these difficult times:-) hugs jan xx

If i write a bawdy limerick i put it in the title and as the form is allowed to be risque i break no rules and neither did the person who recently got POTD. A public blog insinuating we wrote 'porn' beggars belief... then the usual trick of victimiser turned victim with another blog which hes done in the past, I have him blocked because of his behaviour last year , I will never give in and be put off from writing. :-) hugs jan xx

Thanks Ilene to see a blog last week that suggests I write porn beggars belief, I have seen sexually explicit poems that have no place on the site but to suggest a limerick with innuendo as pornographic really is defamation of my character and I will not tolerate this especially from someone who (not for the first time) plays victim and yet is the victimiser...
