The Lights of Christmas
The Lights of Christmas
So like a kaleidoscope, twinkle
this shivery night.
Bringing back memories of past
Christmas Eve delights.
For me, Midnight Mass in Latin
was always said.
Whilst smells of intoxicating incense
wafted up my head.
My huge family all dressed well
and bowing their heads.
These loving memories now
wrapped in soft velvet,crimson red!
The frost on the windows, the
food tasted as if from heaven.
'Twas almost like a celestial city.
Wrapped in great, golden ribbon!
Always, always in me, the soft lights
of Christmas forever glow.
Casting rainbow colors on the
mirrored, rainbow snow.
