The Lights Dim
The Lights Dim
I see she's holding back
Every time I come here
I just want to see her
I know she's think about what she lacks
The metal is the only thing straighten up her spine
I wish for her to sit next to me; we could both drink up my wine
Smoke fills up the the room
the smell of secrecy and shame is masked
By long office days and two for one boos
Her favorite song is on
And when she dances, I always get that long-
Same sequence and heels
Same pressure I feel
Everything I've already seen from her
But..she makes it look so new
Like she just closes her eyes and escapes
and all I could do from here is watch and take
Take pictures of this young body, but sad and fast matured face...
She glides upon the stage and stills the eyes of men
And how I wish to be her stiff and silver friend
If by mistake eye contact were made, would she know?
Know that I know more than what she'll ever show
Just get off that stage and we could both go
The song is finishing
If she would just look at me, we would float
She's leaving me, as I whisper no
The Lights Dim
