The Light That Leads Me Home
A storm is a brewin' out on the sea
The raging waters slam like fists against my ship
I've been on this journey for many years
But finally, I'm heading home
The sea is my prison, yet also, my oasis
It is the core of my entire being
The lonely waters consume my every waking thought
And still, I long to hug the land
I'm a tired, old sailor, just searching
Searching for reasons of existence
Forever, it seems, I've been roaming the sea alone
And no answers have I received
Now my search for the meaning of life is coming to an end
Instead, I am searching for something new
Something more important than my quest for the truth
I am now searching for a bright, white light
A light sent from the Heavens
That stretches beyond the sea
I can hear it calling my name
It's waiting for me to discover it
Oh, how I long to find my glorious light
The light shining just for me
The light that has been blessed by the angels
It is the light that will lead me home
