The Light of My Life
Memories of you overwhelm my mind,
Your serenity and nature ever so kind,
I embrace you , as if the end was near,
In that instance, i would not have succumbed to fear,
Cause my life was complete , for you are here,
The bond of our love strengthened , side by side,
Till the thought of each others absence, swept me off my feet like a strong tide.
We dance under the moonlight,
Losing ourselves in the night,
I gaze into your loving eyes,
Waiting for the eventual sunrise
Years have passed and here we are,
The gods have been kind, allowing our love to persevere so far,
As i give thanks for a bountiful life lived,
I leave behind but a single regret,
Praying that your love is something i never forget,
The thought of leaving you makes my soul restless,
But never despair my love ,
for our journey will be forever priceless..
