The Light of Hope

I Look into each new sunrise and see a fresh new day,
the birth holding such powerful beauty within my heart
as so desperately needs to be held.
my view changes ever so slightly, a fresh new day.
Though seeing it the same it may or may not hold quite the
same.
Nothing changed, yet in sooth the world has changed and I
have changed it.
For better or worse is yet in my sight
But I have light.
Not a bright flame deep inside,
Nor blackened with darkness of pain.
Just a flicker of light, thin as glass
Endlessly striving to grow,
Needing a gentle touch.
A loving comfort dwelling around the mingling emotions of
life.
