The light lingers
Thoughts flickering,
False hope surrounding,
Self destruction,
Moments like this,
The end of everything.
Thoughts flickering,
Pulling me into the darkness,
Waving the light ,
Playing games,
Never knowing what’s next,
The intensity changes,
Thoughts flicker on and off.
False hope surrounding,
Sheets of silver lining,
Tracing your words,
Pulling you in ,
To push you in the fire,
Until the hope scorches you.
Self destruction,
Darken your surroundings,
Destroying everything that brings joy,
Looking for the light through the dirt,
Destroying oneself through others.
Moments like this,
Ambient Noise flooding ,
Louder and louder ,
No escape ,
Never ending,
The noise fades,
The moment doesn’t last.
The end of everything,
The thought that returns ,
a addiction you can’t rid of,
You ignore,
The light is feeling brighter,
Ending the dark doesn’t mean having to end everything .
