" The Light shown in the darkness, but the darkness comprehended Him Not." Once long ago a baby was conceived Mary was the maiden of whom you may have heard Selected by God(The Trinity) to conceive and carry the Baby Through the work of the Holy Spirit(part of the Trinity) a tiny dot Was placed in the womb of the willing servant, Mary The fetus grew in the dark, warm place The Son of God was recognized by the fetus John the Baptist The Holy Spirit was working even when the babies were in darkness I can feel the touch of the mothers as they rub their enlarging, rounded stomach I can smell the aromas of the simple homes as they prepare bread and fish I can feel their anticipation of the arrival of the Messiah The long looked for and wanted Messiah Who would save Israel I can understand their special feelings Being the ones chosen to bring into the world two unique beings The time Elizabeth and Mary spent together must have been spent in rejoicing Little did they know what the future held when the darkness rejected the Light He is still the Light of the world.. He is still rejected by most Salvation is so simple All one has to do is say they are sorry for their sins and invite the Light in Contest: The Light Sponsor: Regina McIntosh Date: 12-15-2020

God gave her Elizabeth! They shared motherhood and joy before she returned. The conversations intimate and reassuring. She needed that, perhaps more than her mother.

Kim, Elizabeth had an experience that was miraculous like Mary and they understood each other. Mary was young and I am sure there was a lot of talk going on behind her back but she knew about what happened in the temple with Elizabeth's husband and him being struck dumb until after John was born so she knew Elizabeth was someone she could talk to and share her story.. Congratulations are due. The story of the Nativity is the beginning of salvation though personally I prefer Easter. Well done. ~~

Hi Sara, I think Elizabeth and Mary did rejoice from they're together. They both were pregnant with ” World Changers!” One was the Savior for all humanity, and One prepared the way for the Savior. I agree; He is still the light of the world. Best wishes in the contest. Have a great day:-)Alexis
