The Light
Darkness can only exist where there is no sign of light,
That’s why God created the moon to shimmer in the night.
The moon reflects the light that the sun lovingly provides,
Leaving very little room for darkness or the evil that it hides.
The Father gave his son to us to be our guarding light,
And entrusted us to do His work by providing us with sight.
To do the work that He has for us, He keeps us each one clean
In order to reflect His light until what’s hidden can be seen.
Then the evil will fall away as it withers in His glory,
And another page of righteousness will be written in His story.
A single one of us reflecting his love can be an awesome sight,
But when we band together we become a blinding light.
You are all called to do your part, each one adding to the measure,
And the shine that you’ll reflect will become your greatest treasure.
