The Light

Staring out the window
I see the clouds go by.
The shapes remind me of long ago,
Before I collapsed into this dark voided hole
Of silence and self doubt.
I don't know how to grasp the light,
It's too far ahead.
The light is my hope,
To get out of here some day
And find some inner peace,
A tranquility of sorts,
The serenity inside my heart.
I think some times I may never escape,
But I know I will some day,
And I will be fortunate
For being out of the dark,
And into the light,
Just like before.
