The Life You Left Behind

My life was grim,
Until you let me into yours.
Now without me within,
You’ve started anew behind closed doors.

I want to be in yours, with you
Instead of alone in mine.
But in yours I pursue,
In the life you left behind.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

We live not alone, and the hope is we will die not alone, no matter how the present seem. Blessings and light. It is a wonderful poem.
