The Life Champion
THE LIFE CHAMPION
To take
Use up
And run
Is the aim of the life champion
A conscience?
Sadly the man on top
Seems bred with none
He wants it all
And of course it must be free
To work for it
Is to the dishonest some sort of idiocy
He who tramples first
Is sadly better placed
To grab all of life’s gains
With minimum conscious pain
Life it seems today is full of envy
Must we always crave?
To want what another has
Is but Fair
To those who know no sort of fraternity
To advance up the greasy pole
Acquiring the accruements of a life
Filled with flattery and hyperbole
Is the aim of him
Who everyone loves to scold
The one who masters this life
We of course do hold up as a secret ideal
His life philosophy we all covetously aspire to
Despite him never feeling the least bit guilty
For all he does to disadvantage society
Be not fooled
For this life is not easy
If you plan ahead
What may come may make you feel queasy
Play this roulette that is an uncertain life
Live as you may
Who knows if the truth of existence may be found one day
To be selfish and grafting
Is To play the game of life
Against humanities rules of fair play
Ultimately the guy who acts as a brother
Will win the day
