The Lie
Here's a story that's partially true
And part is just a lie
See if you can guess which one
It's easy, so give it a try
I was hunting in the mountains
Trying to find a deer
My feet were hurting from walking all day
And dinner was getting near
So I pulled the boots from off my feet
And I sit to eat a snack
When I heard a rustle from over the hill
Somewhere behind my back
I turned around to find them
Three bear cubs walking my way
I only meant to scare them
But was in for a surprise that day
I started to yell shoo and scram
As much noise as I could make
But when I saw the mama bear
I knew I'd made a mistake
The mama started charging
I picked up my boots and ran
I saw the headlines in my head
That a bear had eaten a man
I made it back uneaten
Thank God I didn't die
The only part that wasn't true
Was the part I said was a lie
