The Leprechaun King
Oh! King Brian you were fast
But I caught
You at last.
Your size
Helped with your disguise.
Of course your greenery
mixed you in with the scenery.
I was in deep thought
It had me sitting here for hours.
I love the smell of the flowers.
I noticed your movement out of the corner of
My eye
And if I hadn't been careful you could of been
Waving me a goodbye.
I was taught
And it's true
From people who have had dealings with you
You will try to keep your pot of gold.
Three wishes you'll grant.
A fourth would be ignorant
On my part.
I can do my three wishes with ease.
They come from my heart.
You get to keep your gold.
Wish one is for everyone to get along with one
Another.
Two is to wipe out starvation and disease.
Three is for every one to be happy with what
They got.
Even if it's not a lot.
I can tell you are like no other.
You have done well for some one who is not old
But laddie wouldn't you rather have the pot of
Gold?
