The Leopard Leaps

I need a fix and it is so strange
This addiction to poetry is a stain
Like a birthmark on my rainbow brain
Can't shake it off for it is engrained

I hear white word and it leopard leaps
Into violet verse singing screaming
It is my teal torture it is my purple peace
Poetry as affliction is a big part of me

It's one addiction that I would highly recommend, your poem certainly leaps out of the page Karen.

Good poem fellow addict. Thoughts pop up at the worst of times, like when I'm driving. I beg you to continue writing your powerful verses. They light up the sky

I agree it especially happens when you are doing something unrelated to writing and don't have the time to scribble it down! And wow you are really too kiknd. Such a beautiful inspiring compliment. Thanks Hilda!
