The Legend of Morgan-Kara

The snow mountains bowed heavily
As Morgan-Kara touched its base
The spirits silently circled
Waiting for him to call
People watched in reverence
As ancestors came forth
But dark clouds soon gathered
For the God of the Dead was livid
No touching the dead Morgan-Kara
Bellowed the mighty voice
But silently Morgan-Kara brought forth
The dead one by one
God of the Dead flew on raven wings
To let the High God know
To Morgan-Kara it was just another day
The High God trapped his soul
Sealed it in a glass bottle
People cowered in fear
Morgan-Kara retreated in a cave
He silently played his magic drum
And climbed with it to the heaven above
The great Shaman now turned into a wasp
Bit the High God on his head
Startled the God left the bottle
Which he carried back to earth
As Morgan-Kara emerged
People bowed in faith and cheer
For here was Morgan-Kara
Reborn again and again

Based on the legends of Lake Baikal, Siberia

Smile ~ I do count myself a tiny bit rare in regards unto most within the flesh and blood of Humanity although for, I Have stood with my own, "Beautiful 'God; My Beautiful Father!!!'" ~ And once as is Always, "His 'Magnificent Glory'" did say that, "I Am Not 'The Father' of the dead rather, of the living...." ~ I love Your painting as I love Your precious light and, I Am thankful to have viewed its lovely colours, my dear ~ "Love, 'Always,'" John!:) ~

Smile ~ I do admit that my own knowledge of Many faiths and beliefs is extremely limited yet twas not calling to know I suppose or I should rather say believe but, I can smile and breathe fresh air of beauty amid Every breath I do take knowing what I Do Know and, I count this as only joy beyond all words I could ever find; just as I Am sure Many do amid their own faiths, my dear ~ Cont:)

Tahera, this is a very different kind of writing for you. Do you know a lot of legends. I wonder if this is the same Lake that I was seeing in a movie about some guys who escaped from a prison camp during WWII and ended up in Mongolia and crossed the desert into India! Well, this was quite the interesting tale. Do you have more?
