The Legend of Lincoln Park Zoo
It was gloomy today i never knew why but
it always seems that way in a big city
the south side all lined with beautiful
homes all the same sizes and shapes
somehow the sun just doesn't seem
to make it off the ground here while
the west side has some quaint sparks
of sun and the east side just don't get none
as the lake mainly plays so plainly
like in Spain although if you look
across the water other cities have sun
as the view is very clear as the fog seeps
out daily and rests near the lighthouses
and wait until the sun sets to return while
all the time the sun buries itself over
uptown the north side of town where
the wind lies down in the debts of the
buildings so high casuing a rush street
wind everytime you turn the corner
as your only refuge away from this
blustery day is to nestle into a place where
the animals are safe away from us
