The Laughter In Your Smile
The days the days the days. I still hear your voice call my name.
A different time it was back then.
And a time gone forever - that’s hard to say.
We still could crack a smile through the pain are relationship did strain.
We didn’t see eye to eye but I think we respected what each would say.
I find that when darkness comes I remember the cracks and creases on your face. I see your smiling eyes and hear your laughter deep in my brain.
Though the times you’d made me cry, sometimes you didn’t know what to say. Now you’re gone I love you more and more every new and passing day.
The games they played with love. The pain they caused you by trying to slur our name.
I can only feel love when I think I hear your voice calling out my name.
