The Laugh of a Forgotten One
The laugh of a forgotten one
has made a hopeless
one a worthy someone;
the laugh of a forgotten one
came out of nowhere
to bring cheerfulness where
there was sadness and no trace
of thoughtfulness!
By chance, I seem to have a reason
to feel that love and exchange
it, but I won't doubt where it came...
because it won't happen again.
The laugh of a forgotten one
makes living full of fun;
why didn't I think of it before?
Why wasn't I so lovable
and accept things as they were?
Ah, I resisted that call!
The laugh of a forgotten one
has made life so worth living;
the laugh of a forgotten one
has not kept me from giving!
