The Last Words

We have come this far, In this forever, here we are, a speck of sand, a blink vulnerable as we think we are not a never, nor are we a forever. Time will claim the choice, silence the loudest voice, All the whispers ever heard will go mute in deathly word. Vision seeds go unplanted, timbers fall warped and slanted. Moments shiver and sieze with the dying of the breeze. We find our home inside the womb of the natures bride waiting to be reborn left behind lovers mourn. Finality is a fragile thought some fear, some sought, and it is my turn for goodbye. Time comes and we all die. For contest: my muse, mortal Date: 6/21/18

This was one of the first poems I read, Casarah, and I knew it would place highly and stay there ... you have an unusual style and took a bit different tack, one I just adore, and your phrasing and imagery is exquisite, joined with a fresh and articulate word economy that I so admire! (You also see the world and life much as I do). This is a superb poem - you have a singular talent! Congratulations on your THIRD PLACE in the 'My Muse, Mortal' Poetry Contest - blessings, my friend! :-) <3

You kindly commented on my poem Mister Blues, saying it read like a song. It is just that and will be on YouTube shortly. Many of my poems are songs I have recorded. I like some of your work very much. Thanks for taking the time out to comment. Louis Spence

Cas, let me say this is a first place contest kind of write. I'm spellbound by its simple beauty and depth. This kind of write can only come from a soul that thinks and feels and is continually alive in thoughtful contemplation. I marvel at your skill and sit at your feet to hear more!
