The Last Time

For ten good years,
This humble place
Housed love sincere
In time and space.

We sit and feel
True ambience fond;
Touch of goodwill
In this old pond.

Too soon time drains
In hour-glass sand;
Memory gains
Fate's common trend.

Here in these grounds,
Nurture did seed
Both lost and found
In ample needs.

For ten good years
This house has lodged
Our dreams and cheers --
Love gently forged.

Fate has decreed
A new path here
To feed the need
As new souls steer.

We sit here now
With a fond glow;
Feel sad somehow
For this last show.

For the last time,
We bid farewell
Yes Auld Lang Syne
To lovely spell.
