The Last Straw
She glanced at him from across the table
while carefully realigning her eating utensils.
He was reading a report of some kind, or
so she thought. He was completely engrossed
[Clearly, he was not aware of her presence]
In his cellphone like she was not there.
Once, she said rather loudly
”Uh-humm,”
But he dismissed her with a wave of his hand.
She sighed.
Then, she took her cellphone from her purse
and googled
