The Last Samurai
On the horizon of the plain, where the sun lies down to rest,
A warrior watches over a cause he has long professed.
Two years of vigil, with his soul held like a blade,
In a biting battle that time has not yet swayed.
The hardware is ancient, from an age of former glory,
But the new system fails to recognize his story.
Like Windows 11 on an old Game Boy's screen,
The attempt burns bright, yet tarnishes its sheen.
He draws the Katana of a love absolute,
In a world of cold code, calculating and astute.
He tries the update, adjusts each cable's place,
But the battery drains low in this enslaved race.
"Master's Degree in Resilience," reads his coat of arms,
Yet her server grants no access, sounds no welcoming alarms.
He is a Nokia 3310 attempting to process and run
A dream-built software that simply will not come undone.
Like the last of the Meiji before the cannon's roar,
He fights with honor, yet has no ammunition anymore.
For the greatest victory of the noble warrior's way
Is knowing that his inner fire burned fully on that day.
Sheathe your sword, O master of persistence so fine,
The diploma is yours, earned through patience by design.
If the system will not open, then perform the hard reset,
For a new destiny awaits the courage you have yet to meet.
