The Last Poem Ill Be Wasting On You

I wrote these words out of love,
I spoke lines through my heart
I spent days in writing this poem-
-To make you see my broken heart.
I slept smiling for like six months,
Five months, two weeks and two days to be exact.
I woke up every day with a glow
Thinking about us and the next place we'd go to.
But as paradise is never forever,
And as roses wither and die,
This love of ours must come to its end-
-Everything about us is nothing more than a mere lie.
