The Last One

Operative phrase ‘the last one’, a thought Lower mind contracts, whilst higher has fun Let us spiral not, in narrow thought slots There is no doing, which needs to be done Happy child at play, has no agenda Each moment complete, basking in the sun In life, goalposts shift, adding addenda One step at a time, a better option Dance uninhibited, free from stigma Ego borne desires, in agitation Each new craving, said to be the last one Specious logic, hypnotic delusion Have the last one for the road, said someone More oft than not, feral instincts prevail There seems no hope, until we come undone Life a seamless flow, wherein we all sail Pure uncluttered heart, claims the holy grail 30-November-2020 (syllabic Terza Rima)
