The Last Letter

My time here is up
I’m with Father’s only child
This life here on Earth
Has been both beautiful and wild

From the day I was born
I knew this moment would come
I’d be led home by the hand
Of God’s chosen one

I have no more aches and pains
I’m fresh and brand new
I’m thankful for my life
My life there with you

When you think of me please smile
I also want you to know
Thank you for being my wife
And always making my heart glow.

*Inspired by Connie and her husband Mike*

I'm so glad you like it. I do like surprises, they are fun little treats to help us through the most difficult times. I'm glad to hear you have such a loving family by your side. I wish I could give you a big hug and hear all about Mike.

I'm glad you think so. I wrote it for her but I didn't want to bother her because I know she has her hands full. I hope she likes it

A very moving verse Mark, there is sadness and also joy that there is no more suffering. It's a journey that one day we all will make. Tom
