The Last Leaf of Autumn
The last leaf of Autumn
The leaf wouldn't leave, he clung to the tree,
Through all the wind and the hail,
Oh, no, no, no,
He said, I won’t go,
I’m stopping and I will prevail,
But his brothers, below,
All covered in snow,
Looked up and started to call,
The time it has come,
Say goodbye mum,
Brother you really must fall,
He gave a big sigh,
As he said his goodbye,
Twisted around and around,
Then, like a boat,
He started to float,
To his brothers down there on the ground.
