The Last In Line

I try to give you your hearts desire
I try to go the extra mile
Because I love to see you happy
I love to see you smile

We make sound plans together
So we achieve our dreams with ease
And whatever you have asked of me
Ive always given free

You tell me that im a good man
You say you love me so,
But lately you just ignore me
Like im someone you dont know

You make plans with other people
I used to think it was all right
But now you would rather spend your time
with them
And leave me alone at night

I know my job is hard to take
And i travel oh so far
I only do it for the both of us
To enjoy life where we are.

I feel my heart is bleeding
From reading all the painful signs
I thought i stood somewhere within your heart
But lately im the last in line

Yeah sometimes career, friends and ambitions get in the way of love, which makes one felt leftout. U expressd that in fabulous rhyme n flow. Kudos.

A very heavy poem Carl, I don't know much of this path that makes you bleed deeply. But, know this here within these soup walls you are a good and true friend, and never will you come last in line.... Happy 2014... always~ LINDA

- A heartbreaking write, Carl. - The one you love should always be first in line - friends afterwards .... - Again, I wish you a happy new year! - oxox // Anne-Lise :)

Tugged at my hearstrings....Those signs can't be ignored.....You need to remind her.....you need to make your way to the front of the line....Great poem

Whoa Carl! This is great! I love how you've developed the theme and built up to the conclusion. Very well done. I am looking forward to reading more poems from you in 2014. Have a great day and hopefully a great coming year!
