The Last Day of the Year
‘Tis the last day of the year
Got it’s own remarks to bear;
Children this day ye don’t despise,
The day God made has got it’s price:
The day to settle the Year’s account
For God’s love so plenty bound,
Feeling sorry for the mistakes done –
Sometimes with hatred, sometimes for fun,
A day with awesome feelings bound
Of crossing the past safe and sound,
The Earth it’s finish line to reach
With joyous, victorious leap,
And Our hearts filled with gratitude
To thank the maker for the multitude,
Waiting to enter the New Year
With joyous hope, with God near.
