The Last Dance

Bell tolls at midnight
Her glass slipper he shatters
Danced on borrow time

Loved this one Joan, and I agree, I think "the last dance" would be a more fitting title!!!

Love the haiku -- awesome last line that hooks the reader deeper into the last dance!! Lot's of rules on haiku -- I have broke all of them . . . keep writing them and I will keep reading them! If you are interested here is a link to some guideline, don't let it mess you up -- you have great talent: http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/haiku/haiku.html

My 9 yr old grandson introduced me to this form, for he was learning it in school, but after reading your link, I can see he gave me only the minimum basics of this form. I'm thinking of changing the title to "The Last Dance", bc of your comment.

Thank you for reading and your encouragement. This is my first attempt at this form, to tell the truth I have no knowledge or education in any of the many forms of poetry.
