The Landing

For a full day
The ships travelled,
under golden sun

The cloud came in to view
The island emerged
Deep green under a mantle of white
Instinctively they knew..
That this was right

Nearing the shore,
they could hear the sound of birds
See the colours too
Flocks of macaw

The ships anchored in the bay
The Faeries flew,
through trees and woods
Exploring too
